This is an exciting time of year. Families are excited to book their yearly family portrait sessions, the air is getting cooler and the decorations are coming out of their dusty boxes. But even more excitingly this is the time of year where 1 in 4 grooms propose to their brides!
Most couples that get engaged this holiday season will most likely be planning their wedding for next year. And if you have never been engaged or married before, you may not know, but pretty much right after she says “Yes!” the wedding planning begins. And it can seem very overwhelming for many people. There are so many details and things to think about.
Now, we are slightly biased being a wedding photographer, but just form past experience and knowing how weddings works, we feel that choosing a wedding photographer is one of the most important decisions you can make. Yes, the venue is key, and the people that help you plan are essential, but after the beautiful flowers have wilted, and the delicious cakes has been eaten, other then your memories and some new kitchen appliances, the only thing you may have to remember the day is your photography.
Choosing the right local Pasadena wedding photographer is essential. There are many things to keep in mind, but here are my top tips.
Top 2 Tips to Choosing a Photographer
- You MUST LOVE your wedding photographers style. You have to love the way they shoot, the angles, the color correction, the retouching, everything. It’s also important that you have seen at least one, if not more full weddings. I mean, a wedding as you will receive from start to finish. I love to showcase each wedding by showing the wedding album design. This allows my clients to see what they will also be receiving from their special day, as opposed to just the highlights 3 or 4 from each wedding.
- You MUST LOVE your wedding photographer’s personality. Now, I don’t mean to say that I am the most exciting, coolest person in the world, {I’m pretty close though}, but you will be next to your wedding photographer for 6-10 hours on your wedding day, and if you don’t get on, they are not good at communicating, or they smell, it’s going to be a pretty hard day. Do you want your wedding day to be hard? Nope, you don’t.
So keep these in mind when searching for your local Pasadena wedding photographer, or pass this on to a friend that just got engaged and help save them a huge headache.
