This may not have been a sunny and warm Chicago Wedding at Thalia Hall, but the love that filled Lindsey and Danny that day definitely made up for the cold weather! And a bonus was that we had the best fall color for the trees, and the city skyline on October 24th, 2015.
After almost a year of traveling the world together Lindsey and Danny were excited to be able to share their special day with all their friends and family, back in their home town of Chicago. I am sure they could have done a quick wedding on a mountaintop in South America or in a rice paddy in Vietnam, but it would not have been as special without all the people that have made Lindsey and Danny who they are today, not to mention all the little details that were included, such as grandma’s handkerchief sown into the lining of Lindsey’s stunning dress, or the Chuppah that was hand made by Lindsey’s sister Stefanie. Wow!
And for myself, after knowing and being friends with Lindsey for almost 10 years now it was a huge honor, and a lot of fun, traveling from Los Angeles to Chicago to photograph Lindsey and Danny’s big day. We had a lot of fun at Olive park with the yellow trees and skyline, looking for cool graffiti walls for family portraits, and dancing all night to one of their favorite bands, Pimps of Joytime. This was definitely 100% a Lindsey and Danny affair, and I LOVED being there to capture it.
Cheers to a fabulous life together, and I’m already planning my next trip to the windy city, so get the guest room ready!
