Pasadena Business Headshots are some of my favorite sessions. They allow me some quality one on one time with my clients, and usually a little creativity gets to come along for the ride too. When a client and friend, Lauren of Pilates Barbell Club in Pasadena, passed on my information to Neghar who was looking for some new business headshots I was of course flattered and excited. The most exciting thing was that she wanted something a little different. I love that. I say out with those old grey and blue backdrops and in with a little color and life!
Being a fitness expert, Neghar has been fortunate to have done several photo shoots for her own business needs, as well as some for Lululemon and Nike. But being the good business woman that she is she realized she wanted to expand her own empire and work into more public speaking and so on. And she loves fashion {and looks good in most outfits} so some more fashion related headshot were needed.
The session took place in her new hometown of Santa Monica. One of my favorite things is looking for new locations to shoot. I love it! So I headed over to her neighborhood before the session and scouted locations. I was happy to find a number of locations, just within a few block of her home. You never need a huge area, just a little slice enough for one person and as you can see we found some great ones. One of my favorite things are those accordion doors. They look so cool in images.
A big thanks goes to Christina Ross of Christine Ross Make Up Artist who created the amazing make-up and hair that coped with the cold, wind and rain of the day. Can’t tell it was raining? Well, that’s just how good we all are!!!

And of course you HAVE to visit Neghar’s website. She has the best inspirational emails that go out each week, as well as fitness tips and recipes.

She also just released a perfect fitness and nutrition e-book, each with over 90 pages of information. I purchased it when she released it a few weeks ago and already love it. She really writes from the heart and makes sense, and of course has great technical date to back up her ideas. Here is a link to her new Lean and Lovely Program.
Enjoy Neghar’s images and let us know what you think by sharing with your friends on Facebook and Pinterest!
This was a little abandoned lot of land between two houses. Who knew how cool we could make it look. This wouldn’t have worked without the overcast weather, so even though it was cold for Neghar, it was worth it. 🙂
We had to sneak up to this building. They were literally on scaffolding a few feet away painting it from its former yellow to white. Needless to say there were some wolf whistles to be heard. I think they should have kept it like this.
I am really glad I asked Neghar at the end of her session if she’d allow me some creative leeway and I am glad she said yes. How stunning is this image of her?
